HALL OF SHAME
AND EXPLOITATION

Throughout history mankind has been exploiting the great apes. Sadly, the exploitation and abuses continue even to this day. Many times the abuses are not only physically but also mental.

In this area of the museum, we will be looking at images of apes, past and present, and trying to understand the thinking that went into creating these exploitive images and why they are wrong. We will also talk about how we can improve the image of the great apes and help that image evolve to a higher level of respect and appreciation.
